Who are USGBC EPs?
USGBC Emerging Professionals are the energetic and dynamic leaders of tomorrow’s green building movement. The program is for individuals out of school and under 30.
How are USGBC EPs organized?
Emerging Professionals are organized locally as committees of their local USGBC chapters. Local committees work closely with their chapter leadership, often the heads of local sustainability industries, to ensure that the sustainability movement is connecting all generations.
What do USGBC EPs do?
Through USGBC chapters across the country, Emerging Professionals committees offer a wide range of opportunities to grow in the volunteer and professional arenas. Examples include:
- Put on sustainability-focused educational events and programs, such as LEED study groups, green building tours and green-leaders speaking events
- Coordinate networking opportunities and social events for the young leaders in green building in their communities.
- Organize and carry out community development events such as neighborhood beautification projects and green retro-fitting projects.
- Provide access to a nationwide network of Emerging Professionals that can connect you to the local green building efforts.
