  • Public Meeting and Interim Report Review: COMPLETED
TSAC held a public meeting for HCFC stakeholders on February 17, 2004, at the Melrose Hotel in Washington, DC. The purpose of the meeting was to receive stakeholders' comments on the Task Group's first draft report, which outlines environmental impacts of common refrigerants in centrifugal water chillers and recommends a basis for relevant LEED credit development (e.g., EA Credit 4, Ozone Protection). See the Public Meeting Guidelines and AGENDA. All stakeholders were instructed to submit their letters/papers electronically to tsac@committees.usgbc.org for consideration. Meeting attendance was not required. Attendance list. Stakeholder speaker list. The deadline for submitting comments for this phase was February 17. Submissions are listed on the lower portion of this page. (Posted 11/21/03, revised 4/5/04.)

  • Soliciitation for Evidence Documents (Posted 11/7/03): EXPIRED/SUPERCEDED
To submit evidence that is not already listed on the Ozone/HCFC issue Web page (below), send your submission to tsac@committees.usgbc.org.
  • Solicitation for HCFC/refrigerants Stakeholders (Posted 11/7/03. Ongoing solicitation):
The Technical and Scientific Advisory Committee (TSAC) has been charged by the Steering Committee with reviewing “all of the atmospheric environmental impacts arising from the use of halocarbons in HVAC equipment and recommend a basis for LEED credits that gives appropriate credit to the alternatives.” In order to evaluate this issue, the TSAC is soliciting stakeholders who wish to provide technical input or information, and/or wish to be kept apprised of progress.
