LEED Professional Accreditation

The LEED Professional Accreditation program is now managed by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).

In 2008, administration of the Professional Accreditation program transitioned to the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). USGBC continues to provide support to aspiring and current LEED APs and LEED Green Associates through education, study and reference materials, and other resources that help you gain the understanding of LEED you will need to become a LEED Professional, as well as support GBCI's credentialing maintenance requirements.

LEED Accredited Professional and LEED Green Associate Exam Prep »

Although GBCI manages the credentialing program, it does not offer supporting education programs or exam preparation resources. Because the LEED Professional Credentials indicate professional excellence and a strong depth of knowledge and practical understanding of the LEED rating systems, preparing to take the LEED AP or Green Associate exam is a process. USGBC is your source for education, study guides, reference guides, chapter study sessions and other support.

LEED Professional Credentialing Maintenance

As GBCI’s first Education Reviewing Body (ERB), USGBC is the only third-party organization authorized to review and approve courses to support credentialing maintenance requirements for LEED APs and Green Associates.
