How to Participate in USGBC Committees and Working Groups

USGBC Committees and Working Groups are made up of individuals who are regular employees of USGBC member organizations. The majority of committee and working group members are appointed. Calls for nominations will be sent to the membership when there are committee and working group openings. The calls will describe the scope of the committee or working group and the types of perspectives and expertise needed, and will include a link for interested individuals to submit a self-nomination for consideration. In accordance with USGBC Policies and Procedures for Committees and Working Groups (PDF), committee terms are 1 or 2 years, with a maximum service of 4 consecutive years. Working group terms are for the length of the working group, which is generally less than one year.
