K-12 & Higher Ed Resources

USGBC is committed to bringing green buildings to students of all ages, from early childhood and elementary schools to college and university campuses.

Through the ongoing development of tools and resources tailored to the unique needs of K-12 schools and higher education facilities, the work of USGBC’s Education Sector is driven by both the Green Schools Campaign and the Green Campus Campaign. Both initiatives seek to assist the members of the education sector in achieving their sustainability and green building goals to ensure green schools and green campuses within a generation.

These resources provide an introduction to the LEED Rating System, a selection of presentations on green building and a variety of project profiles for LEED certified buildings. Learn more about LEED policy adoptions across the country, access Greenbuild365 and discover sustainability curriculum being developed for students of all ages.
