LEED Regionalization

Make your mark on the next update of LEED through your local chapter!

Since 2009, LEED has awarded extra points to projects that implement specific strategies aimed at addressing the unique environmental priorities of an area. These Regional Priority credits (RPCs) are existing LEED credits selected from all LEED credits and given "bonus-point" status. The credits selected as RPCs vary area by area, and their selection depends on the local expertise of green building leaders in those regions.

Chapter members are those leaders. The Chapters community is the greatest resource for understanding the biggest needs in your communities, your climates and your geographic regions.

Chapter members can volunteer for their specific chapter's task force to identify these priority issues and select RPCs. These decisions will be incorporated into the next update of LEED. (To read more about the next update, please visit the LEED Rating System Development page.)
