Greenbuild 2010: Ready to Redefine the Future

Greenbuild 2010, Chicago

Remember Greenbuild last year? The energy, the excitement, the promise and the passion?

Just in case ... let us refresh your memory.

Another Greenbuild season is upon us, and the green building community is committed once again to driving this movement forward by leaps and bounds. Every year, you surpass expectations, with your innovations, your commitment to a sustainable built environment, and the sheer size of your numbers. In 2008, our theme was "Revolutionary Green;" we knew this movement was ready to fundamentally change the building industry, but we knew we still needed a revolution to foment that change. Last year, with "Main Street Green," the revolution was well under way and we were ready to bring our message to main streets around the world.

And this year, we can clearly see a new future, a future that is being redefined by an entire generation that is committed to the triple bottom line of environmental, economic and social prosperity. Regardless of age or demographics, geography or politics, "Generation Green" is you, and with the economic and environmental challenges we face today, we need you more than ever.

If you haven't visited recently, be sure you do today:

  • The full Greenbuild 2010 program is live! You can browse all the educational programming, including Greenbuild educational sessions, USGBC and Education Provider workshops, Residential Summit and International Forum sessions, and off-site education. More than 120 educational sessions and dozens of specialty updates are available for full-conference attendees to choose from – and that doesn't include all the additional tours, workshops and other opportunities you can register for! Many registration packages are available, so you can find the right fit for you. Register by Sept. 7 for early-bird discounts!
  • Browse education and events by industry or market sector, helping you narrow the hundreds of sessions and events to those that might be of most interest to you.
  • Once you've registered for Greenbuild 2010, you can access your personal Greenbuild 2010 scheduler. Use your scheduler to plan your time at Greenbuild and reserve your spot at sessions and special events. Remember: You must reserve your spot in advance in order to attend Greenbuild sessions.
  • And be sure to reserve your Greenbuild housing early! Rooms are going fast, and in order to ride the Greenbuild shuttle buses to and from McCormick Place, you will need to show the driver an official Greenbuild key card from a hotel in the Greenbuild housing block.

Thank you for being part of this movement, this community, and this generation: Generation Green. We look forward to seeing you in Chicago!
