World Green Building Council

Founded by USGBC creator David Gottfried, the World Green Building Council is the largest international body influencing sustainable building.

In 1998, USGBC helped establish the World Green Building Council — a global coalition of green building councils. The largest international organization to influence green building, the WorldGBC fosters and supports fledgling green building councils while building collaboration and power among existing councils.

An international authority

Incorporated in 2002, the primary role of the WorldGBC is to formalize international communications, help industry leaders access emerging markets and provide an international voice for green building initiatives.
