Our programs wouldn't be as successful as they are without our amazing volunteers. We often need volunteers to help with event set-up, registration, activities during networking events, such as running a silent auction or raffles, etc. And, we love people with special skills such as graphic designers, photographers, DJs etc.

USGBC-NCR also often organizes community service activities or partners with other local nonprofits that are doing good work in here in the National Capital Region. Looking to roll your sleeves up and mix some concrete? We can help!

Upcoming opportunities to volunteer and network with other sustainable building professionals are below. Often, they include discounted or free registration and you can earn CEU hours! Please contact Suzi Warren if you have questions or are interested in any of the opportunities below.

  • Committees: The opportunity to volunteer on one of our committees is open year round! Take a look at our committees and see which is the right fit for you!
  • Green Schools Summit: Interested in planning the 2016 Green Schools Summit? In partnership with USGBC Maryland, we are currently in the process of planning our 2016 DC/NoVa/MD Green Schools Summit.
  • Green Tie Affair: Our Green Tie Affair is the premier winter networking event of the DC region green building community. You can be a part of this highly anticipated annual celebration by helping us plan or volunteering at the event itself.
