Do you put the green in Greenbuild? Apply for the Green Exhibitor Award
As the conference and expo that identifies itself by the color of sustainability, Greenbuild aims to live up to its name as the greenest show around. But how exactly do we define this?
From an expo perspective, Greenbuild is a pioneer in helping to change the way we build, maintain, and do business in a traditional exhibit hall. And the bar is constantly being raised.
- Step 1: Our required GMEGG program ensures that all Greenbuild booths maintain a sustainable exhibit inside our expo hall
- Step 2: Our optional Green Exhibitor Award rewards booths for innovation and exceptional performance. This is our way of recognizing those booths that go above and beyond the baseline. These are the booths that really put the green in Greenbuild.
In 2013 we’ve expanded the program to recognize winners in three categories that we feel designate the best from the rest:
- Best in Show
- Smallest Impact
- Most Innovative
To participate exhibitors simply log into the Exhibitor Dashboard and visit the “Booth Greening” section. The application consists of 10 questions relating to a booth’s features, and points are associated with each response. Exhibitors are eligible to earn between 0-20 total points depending on the level of each booth’s sustainability efforts.
Those companies scoring 17 points or higher are entered into the pool to win one of the three awards. Finally, our Exhibitor Advisory Working Group pours over the submissions to identify the three winning booths that have gone the extra mile to ensure a smaller impact while exhibiting at Greenbuild.
The three winning booths will be recognized in a press release, a featured Greenbuild article in early 2014, a unique case study on the Greenbuild website, and verbal recognition on site at the conference. In addition, Best in Show wins a free 10x10 booth at Greenbuild 2014!
If you’re a Greenbuild exhibitor, show us how you walk the walk by entering to win the 2013 Green Exhibitor Award. Your unique sustainability practices and innovative exhibition operations could earn your company some serious recognition among our community of industry leaders.
Applications are due Sept. 17. Good luck!
