Emerging Professionals National Recruitment Chairs join EP Program Lead Lauren Elasik at USGBC's Mid-Year Meeting in San Antonio

This summer, the Emerging Professionals National Committee launched a new member initiative with the goal of 5,000 new Emerging Professionals by December 2015. An Emerging Professional (EP) is anyone out of school, under 30, with an interest in sustainability. EPs are the energetic and dynamic leaders of tomorrow’s green building movement, and are a key component to the succession planning and sustainability of a USGBC chapter. See what EPs are up to on Twitter using the hashtag #USGBCEP!

To celebrate the launch of the EP member campaign, EPs will have a larger-than-ever presence at Greenbuild. For the first time, EPs can sign up to be a member of their local chapter at Greenbuild at a discounted member rate of $30. Throughout the week, members of the Emerging Professionals National Committee will be wearing red t-shirts, inviting conversation about EP membership, and signing up new members at the discounted rate. If you are a young professional attending Greenbuild, we look forward to talking with you!

Tuesday night, Nov. 13, launches the most exciting EP event at Greenbuild: the inaugural Greenbuild Scavenger Hunt! Teams will take off from the Moscone Center and explore green landmarks within walking distance, culminating in a celebration at a secret location. The celebration venue will only be revealed once the first team visits all required scavenger hunt stops. Each member of the winning EP team will receive a VIP pass to see Grammy Award winning band Train at the Greenbuild Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 15!

Sign up to be assigned to a team of four, or create your own (4 max). Rules will be emailed to team members before Greenbuild. You do not have to be an Emerging Professional to participate. Follow the action on Twitter using #gbhunt!

We hope to see you at Greenbuild!
