Empire State Bldg's energy savings beat forecast, Crain’s New York Business. The LEED Gold-certified New York City landmark saved $2.3 million on its energy costs in 2012 and $2.4 million in 2011, topping anticipated savings by 4% and 5%, respectively.

EPB Building gains LEED certification, EPB, an electricity and telecommunications provider in Chattanooga, Tenn., earned the distinction of being the first existing building in the city to secure LEED certification, and USGBC Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy Judith Webb was on hand to present EPB with its well-deserved plaque.

Honoring Heroes in Existing Buildings at the 2013 EBie Awards, Urban Green Council. For the second year, the New York City-area USGBC chapter presented awards to outstanding existing building projects that turned the corner from being energy and water guzzlers to lean and green.

Knoxville Convention Center receives LEED Certification, WBIR. Another high-profile Tennessee project took home a LEED plaque this week, securing Silver as the only certified convention center in the state. Congratulations!
