It’s that time of year again. As we rush headlong into fall, the most exciting event for the global green building industry is just around the corner.

This year, the annual Greenbuild Conference and Expo will be held from Nov. 20-22, 2013 in Philadelphia, with the full-day International Summit kick starting the week on Tuesday, Nov. 19 .

Did you know that LEED is in 140 countries and territories around the world? The International Summit is a great way to get the lay of the international landscape before digging in at other Greenbuild education sessions.

The summit focuses on themes of particular importance to projects outside of the United States and on the issues which dominate the international conversation. The issues include the experience of LEED v4 beta users internationally, resiliency, sustainable city-scale development and harnessing the power of data for an increasingly connected world,

For me,  the International Summit is one of my favorite parts of the show. It’s where I get to network and catch up with my friends. It's also where I get to meet with partners from around the world to discuss and celebrate our advances this year. What a special treat to be able to spend the day together while also focusing on issues which are  100 percent relevant to my work in promoting our mission globally.

I have no doubt that this year’s International Summit will be timely, relevant and intimate. I am sure it will strike the right note for what promises to be a superb week. See you at the International Summit! See you at Greenbuild! Together we are Greenbuild Nation!
