Hello Jeffrey -- Thank you for your interest in the USGBC Board of Directors. The election for open directorships on the USGBC Board will open on 1 July 2014; candidates submit self-nominations for one of five directorships, which represent distinct perspectives. More information on this process will be forthcoming in the next few weeks, or feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected]. Directors meet frequently throughout the year via teleconference. The following USGBC articles (for the election of the 2014 Board) may also be of interest to you: http://www.usgbc.org/articles/be-leader-join-usgbc-board-directors; http://www.usgbc.org/articles/announcing-candidates-2014-board-directors.... Thank you!
I had a couple questions asked of me perhaps you could assist with the answers. 1) how does one throw their hat into the ring to be on the board as a director. 2) Can one serve via telecommuting or do they need the funds to travel back and forth to be active involved.?
