USGBC Arizona hosts Best in the West Region webinar on WELL March 1
On March 1, watch the USGBC Arizona-hosted Best in the West webinar on WELL, LEED and the Living Building Challenge.
USGBC Arizona will host the second webinar of the Best in the West Region Webinar Series in 2017. The webinar will present an overview of the WELL Building Standard and its relation to LEED v4 and the Living Building Challenge rating systems.
As USGBC works to create and expand its global partnerships, local green building communities across the U.S. are exploring new ways to collaborate as a region. In the Mountain West Region, which includes the USGBC Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Nevada and New Mexico communities, online education is a common strategy to help deliver GBCI- and AIA-approved content in these expansive states.
These regional communities, along with USGBC Northern California, will come together throughout 2017 to advance the mission of USGBC and explore unique environmental issues through the Best in the West webinar series. The content will focus on a different theme bimonthly. The Market Leadership Advisory Board members, regional trends and environmental issues helped the Mountain West communities choose topics. Each webinar will be hosted by a different community throughout 2017.
USGBC Colorado hosted its first webinar of the series in January, "Rating Soup of the Soul.” The webinar provided an overview of the WELL, SITES and Parksmart rating systems, presented by Clare Epke, Trevyr Meade and Jamie Statter.
West Region Webinar and Arizona Lunch & LEED
USGBC Arizona’s March 1 Lunch & LEED, "How WELL Relates to LEED and the Living Building Challenge," will be broadcast for viewers across USGBC’s West Region. In addition to the in-person presentation in Tempe, community members and interested stakeholders from across the West region are invited to watch the webcast.
Ashley Mulhall, Associate, Sustainability Leader from Orcutt|Winslow will explain how WELL expands green building practices to include design solutions directly related to human health and wellness, and how the rating system complements strategies for sustainable design and construction in the LEED v4 and Living Building Challenge (LBC) rating systems.
Webinar call-in information will be sent via email to attendees who register.
