USGBC Central Pennsylvania is comprised of a Market Leadership Advisory Board and several committees that are working to help advance sustainability in the built environment. Below you'll find information about each group and its members.

Advocacy, Communications & Marketing

  • Meetings: Second Wednesday of the month; 9:00 – 9:30 Conference Call
  • Mission:
    • Increase awareness of organization and the role it can play as a resource to advocate for green design in the region.
    • Use internal and external communications to target markets through: publicity, events collaborations, printed materials, web pages, a member’s directory and an annual report.

Board Development

    • Seek out new market leadership advisory board members.
    • Organize training and teamwork activities for the market leadership advisory board.

Education, Programs, & Events

    • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate an annual calendar of educational, training, and networking events. Find volunteer champions for each event.
    • Support and partner with other educational efforts within the community.

Emerging Professionals

    • Include emerging professionals and students in our local USGBC work, help plan events specifically geared toward emerging professionals.
    • EP members are defined as emerging professionals with 10 years or less of experience in the green building industry.

Green Schools

    • Work with local schools to provide every child with a healthy environment conducive to learning while saving energy, resources and money.
    • Facilitate the chapter's Green Apple Day of Service events.
