Published on Written by Posted in Industry

A new initiative is launching at Greenbuild in Philadelphia — USGBC Talent Force Exchange, designed to help you define and realize your dream job or bring your career to the next level.

USGBC is committed to supporting your journey toward the green building career you've always imagined through interactive, multifaceted programming and experiences — all in one place — at Greenbuild. Dedicated, driven audiences are invited to join one another in the common goals of building and advancing your career.

Take advantage of programming designed specifically for students, emerging professionals and career switchers in a dynamic and fun space.

The lounge is open Wednesday (Nov. 20) and Thursday (Nov. 21) from 10:00 am6:00 pm, with special programming from 11:00 am–2:00 pm each day.

Each day of programming will have a different theme.

  • Wednesday’s programming will be focused on “Building Your Brand,” applicable to any stage of a career, and featuring such sessions as “Storytelling: Creating your Story to Advance the Mission,” and “Knowing your Strengths: Discovery and Significance.”
  • Thursday will have the theme of “Seeking a Career,” designed for the current applicant to a new or transitioning career. Thursday will feature sessions such as “How I Landed my Green Job” and the hard skills of resume and cover letter writing. Our speakers include green building champions such as LEED Fellow Holly Henderson, Center for Green Schools Director Rachel Gutter, and Master Speaker Avery Bang.

We believe that any job in any field can be a green job. Wherever your path leads you, USGBC TalentFX, is here to help you multiply your impact.

Additional growth opportunities, such as green building education, credentialing support, LEED project experience as well as networking, leadership, and service, will be available beyond Greenbuild.
