Why is Theodore Judah Elementary School a Green Ribbon School? This video, created by Greenwise Joint Venture, a local Sacramento non-profit, accompanied the school’s application for the Green Ribbon School Program that was submitted to the California Department of Education. The application highlighted the outstanding science standards based program that engages students in service learning to create change while greening their school campus. Community volunteers, parents, teachers and staff have all worked to integrate sustainability into the school’s culture. SCUSD is very proud of the changes occurring at Theodore Judah, and hopefully their efforts will be recognized by the Department of Education!
