Nominate Yourself for the 2014 USGBC Board of Directors

Process Overview

The 2014 Board of Directors election begins with a thirty-day self-nomination period. During this time, nominees submit their experience and relevant qualifications for one of six open elected directorships:

  • Constructor of Buildings
  • Insurance
  • International
  • Residential Construction
  • State and Local Government Agency Employee
  • Sustainable Practice Leader: Architecture and Design

After the nomination period, the Nominating Working Group (NWG) of the USGBC Governance Committee will evaluate nominees using the general and perspective-specific criteria and select the most qualified two to four nominees for each seat. Nominees will be recommended as candidates for approval by the USGBC Executive Committee. Each nominee will be contacted by a NWG member regarding his or her status, and the election ballot will be released to the USGBC membership prior to the start of the election period. The election results will be announced after the close of the election and after NWG members have notified candidates or attempted to contact them for seven days.

Please refer to the Nomination Package for a listing of criteria for all open seats. Have questions? See our FAQs or contact [email protected].
