Our volunteer organization was established in 2004, with the mission to transform the way Alabama's buildings are built and operated, promoting healthier and more responsible building projects for the places we all live, work, learn and play. We coordinate with USGBC at the national and regional levels to advocate for high performance healthy buildings, and deliver high-quality sustainable building education and networking opportunities. Our volunteer members range from design and construction professionals accredited to implement the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system to local school teachers participating in Green Apple Day of Service projects. Our members meet on a monthly basis in four regional branches, from North Alabama to the Gulf Coast.
