The U.S. Green Building Council - Arkansas Chapter seeks to create a legacy for future generations based on responsible planning, design, construction, and operation of the state's buildings, landscapes, cityscapes, and neighborhoods.
Membership: USGBC Arkansas members are 350+ individuals from across the
state. Any person that shares our goal of a more sustainable built
environment should join the USGBC community. Our members come from come from
every industry – from big companies and small businesses to nonprofits and
governments. They are part of a vibrant and diverse community which offers
unlimited new opportunities for connecting individuals and businesses with
the people, information and ideas they need to be part of the rapidly growing
green building industry. Individuals join the Arkansas state chapter
and Organizations may join the national U.S.Green Building Council.
Education: USGBC Arkansas is the source for LEED and green building knowledge
– whether a professional is preparing for a LEED exam, maintaining their
credential, seeking support while working on a LEED project, or simply
looking to expand their green building knowledge. The Arkansas Chapter has
developed a comprehensive education plan with the most innovative training
to help green building professionals across all market sectors build the
capacity to build their careers. Chapter Leadership: The Arkansas Chapter
is led by a statewide Chapter Board that meets six times a year. Three
Branches plan monthly local educational programs and social
activities. Eight active committees work to promote USGBC initiatives.
