Chapter By-Laws

Executive Committee Officers

· Participates in the development of Chapter goals
. Chapter policy and serves as a forum for public debate on key issues that affect the industry
. Allocates resources, i.e., approving the budget
· Identifies and recruits members and leaders
· Hires, evaluates and supports staff resources, as appropriate
· Assures appropriate state and federal forms are filed annually
· Maintains adequate structure and governance to carry out the Chapter goals
. Promotes membership in the Chapter

Oversee the prudent use of member dues, program, training and sponsorship revenue. Work with the treasurer to establish an annual budget and to monitor Chapter expenditures. Plan and implement fund raising initiatives.

Responsible for implementing activities to recruit and retain members as well as developing a membership base that assures representation from all membership categories.

Outreach

Develop and monitor policies, initiatives and issues directly related to the St. Louis region. Promote education of green issues and products including LEED training and certification.

Responsible for establishing the yearly program schedule including monthly programs, programs with affiliated organizations, tours of green buildings, social events and other special events.


EarthWays Center

The St. Louis Regional Chapter is hosted by the EarthWays Center, a division of the Missouri Botanical Garden. The EarthWays Center is a local leader in energy and resource educational programs and is located in the EarthWays Home, an historic house retrofitted to demonstrate green design principles.
