Established in 2009, this growing community of thought leaders is working to make sustainable buildings the norm within a generation. We provide leadership, advocacy, education and resources to promote creation of a built environment that sustains vibrant physical and economic health.
West Virginia's built communities are as beautiful, functional, and self-sustaining as the ideal natural environment around them. Our historic buildings are cherished, preserved and useable for contemporary purposes, and our new buildings are created to maximize human comfort, health and aesthetics.
We are architects, business owners, community leaders, contractors, designers, economic and community developers, facility planners, and laypeople who are committed to working in every arena to transform the way West Virginia’s built environment is perceived, conceived, created and maintained. We aim to create a legacy for future generations based on responsible planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of the state’s landscapes, cityscapes, and neighborhoods.
