USGBC Volunteers make a difference

Countless individuals have become volunteers for USGBC and our chapter community.

The ability to achieve our mission is dependent on our community of volunteers. Their commitment has proven invaluable in advancing a healthier, more sustainable and prosperous built environment in communities across the globe. Volunteers increase the capacity, reach, influence, and, most importantly, impact of USGBC.

The work of volunteers—from local advocates to Day of Service groups to volunteers recycling at Greenbuild—is critical to the work and mission of USGBC. We thank them for their support and hope that you will become a volunteer too!

Malcolm Lewis IMPACT! Award

Awarded annually during the USGBC Leadership Awards Luncheon at Greenbuild, the Malcolm Lewis IMPACT! Award distinguishes a high-impact, volunteer-driven product or initiative that supports USGBC's mission.
