This course is designed for architects, engineers and LEED professionals.Health, safety, and welfare remain a fundamental part to building design practices. Incorporating fire rated glass products, provides creative design options while adhering to current modelbuilding codes. The new generation of FIRE RATED products are available in larger sizes that can withstand a fire for longer periods of time. As well, many can provide High Impact Safety rating.

This course will review many of the current building codes for fire-rated glass, as well as provide insight as to how application may provide LEED credits

Compare the different types of Fire-rated glass assemblies in order specify the correct detail to ensure the safety and well being of occupants within the building.
Review how using Fire-rated assemblies adds to the indoor environment quality (IEQ) for daylighting within occupied space.
Review LEED credit categories for specifying Architectural glass products.
