This one hour online audio course includes practical knowledge regarding Recycled Content materials within the LEED NC, CI and EBOMRating Systems. We will review and demonstrate how to properly complete the LEED calculations for recycled content using both Post-consumer and Pre-consumer content. The presenter will directly train participants to complete these LEED credit calculations by hand, thus providing a solid foundation for the variables, assumptions and calculation methodologies referenced by the credits and builtinto the Credit Templates. After introducing important concepts, participants will complete two hands-on exercises taken from actual LEED projects. By performing these calculations, participants develop a framework for these credits which enables improved utilization of the LEED NC, CS, Schools, CI and EBOM Rating Systems. We will conclude the program today with a brief 10 question quiz.

Objectives

1. Explain how the recycled content is addressed within different LEED Rating Systems and indicate system synergies.
2. Describe recycled content credit calculation inputs, variables, assumptions & equations including the difference between Pre and Post consumer.
3. Calculate the overall recycled content percentage for a given project using multiple materials and comparing them to the TotalMaterials Cost.
4. Calculate the recycled content dollar value for a material that has different recycled content percentages by weight.
