This intermediate seminar will provide an overview of exemplary performance opportunities in the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (EBOM) version 3.0 rating system. It will describe exemplary performance as a way of exceeding the requirements of existing credits in the rating system. It will also describe how the points can be collected through the Innovation in Operations category of the rating system. Every performance option in the LEED EBOM rating system will be covered in this presentation.
Upon completion of his seminar, a participant will be able to analyze the difference between Exemplary Performance opportunities and Innovation in Operations application within the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance v3.0 rating system. They will be able to identify ways to collect exemplary performance points within each category of the rating system. They will also compare the exemplary performance requirements of each credit in LEED EBOM, and identify the compliance paths appropriate to each project. Lastly, they will be able to quantify the number of points that a project team can gain toward certification by focusing exclusively on exemplary performance strategies.
