In the first part of this course we will explain the ANSI 138.1 Green Squared multi attribute standard for differentiating the green attributes of ceramic tile. As well as provide an overview of the purpose, attributes, certification process and implications.
In second part of this course we will explain the complexities of the new requirements in A137.1 for Coefficient of Friction. The course will provide an overview of the complexities, factors and considerations the specifier should consider to minimize the risk of slip and falls.
In Part 1:
Understand the importance of selecting sustainable products and their impact to the Triple Bottom Line. Understand whythere was a market need for a multi attribute certification process. Identify the areas of evaluation. Understand how to specify Green Squared, and know the current adoption rate of Green Squared in the marketplace.
In Part 2:
Have an understanding of the legalenvironment with regards to COF and the new ANSI 137.1 Standard. Be able to identify the difference in definitions between SCOF andDCOF. Understanding of the new DCOF Test Method as well as the history of COF testing. Knowledge of the new threshold value and maintenance considerations.
