This seminar will provide an overview of green cleaning practices and products. The benefits associated with green cleaning, including those related to human health, the environment, sanitation, and the community, willbe presented. Green cleaning strategies will be detailed including: high performance cleaning, Custodial Effectiveness Assessment, purchasing of sustainable cleaning products and materials, sustainable cleaning materials, indoor chemical and pollutant source control, and indoor integrated pest management. The associated intent, requirements, and implementation strategies under the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance rating system will be identified.
