This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge they need to successfully complete the LEED for Existing Building s Operations & Maintenance green cleaning prerequisite and credits. A prerequisite of the course is a basic knowledge of the L EED rating system. The course provides context regarding why green cleaning is important and introduces strategies for successfully implementing green cleaning. This is followed by an in-depth look at the prerequisite and credit requirements and calculations.
Objectives
1. Discuss the importance of green cleaning for the environment, the economy, and human health
2. Define key strategies for implementing green cleaning
3.Understand the requirements for the green cleaning prerequisite and credits ( EQp3 and EQc3.1-3.5)
4. Track and document green cleaning activities suchas floor care, equipment maintenance, and cleaning product purchases
5. Complete the LEED for Existing Buildings CreditForms and required submittals for credits involving green cleaning
