Lessons Learned from 99 LEED projects is an article that looks at 99 LEED Gold and Platinum certified projects to identify what strategies work best and are most popular in the LEED category Sustainable Sites. It will look at strategies implemented from the 3 major LEED rating systems: BD+C, O+M, and ID+C. It will be discussing the most frequently applied strategies, those that are easiest toimplement, and those that stand out as especially unique or elegant solutions. This particular course focuses on site factors. It will discuss how projects earned LEED credits from the sites section, and look at which solutions are most universal.
- Describe the credits available in the Sustainable Sites category of BD+C, ID+C, and O+M systems
- Identify the credits most frequently earned by LEED projects
- Evaluate common strategies implemented on LEED projects, and how these compare to conventional strategies
- Analyze unusual or especially effective sites-related strategies for green buildings
