This 1 hour course for architects, engineers, planners, specifiers, contractors, residential planners, residential builders,and building owners provides an overview of glazed structural systems for residential and commercial applications, including a discussion of the varieties of frame types, glazing systems, and glazing performance measures. No prerequisite knowledge required to take this course. Once finished, participants will be able to: list the types of structural systems that are used to accommodate glazing; define the three glazing types reviewed in this course, discuss the causes and methods of prevention of air/water infiltration, as well as the thermal performance of various types of glass, and state the test standards for air and water infiltration, design pressure and uniform load structural testing for commercial glazing systems. A ten question quiz follows the course.

Objectives
