This seminar will provide an overview of process water use in schools and existing buildings,with the goal of contributing to th ereduction of potable water use. The course will look at the issuesassociated with managing water consumption in processe s such as those associated with foodin schools, as well as cooling towers water management. The use of potable versus non- potable water and the required management techniques for cooling towers will be presented.
Identify the various uses of process water
Specify the environmental, social, and economic importance of water use reduction
Identify strategies for reducing process water consumption for new construction, including school projects
Analyze how potable water use can be reduced in cooling towers for existing buildings
