Recertification Guidance

Projects should refer to the following credit compliance guidance when planning for recertification. The table outlines the establishment and performance requirements and details the preferred frequency and duration of each performance requirement. Recertification is based on compliance with performance requirements. For the complete set of guidance, refer to the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance Recertification Guidance.

Have in place water meters that measure total potable water use for entire building and grounds.
Ongoing tracking
Maintain continuous manual or data-logged meter readings. In the application, provide a log meter readings (at least weekly) from most recent 25% of recertification performance period. Alternatively, provide monthly trend analysis as detailed in the October 1, 2012 LEED Interpretation
WEc1.2: Water performance measurement—submetering Building components and site infrastructure
Have in place meters for one or more water subsystems.
Ongoing tracking
Maintain continuous manual or data-logged meter readings. Provide at least weekly meter readings or weekly trend analysis from most recent 25% of recertification performance period.
