About

Tally software represents an effective means of achieving the LEED credits for Building Life-Cycle Impact Reduction by leveraging the design model. This session will provide an overview of the credit, discussing credit language and the options available for meeting the guidelines. The specific requirements of the model will be shown, including the appropriate scope necessary for compliance as well as the selection of impact categories and the mandated levels of improvement. The session will also discuss the complex issue of baseline buildings, including which components must be included and options for their generation. We will conclude with the generation of the reports required for credit documentation.

Objectives

  1. Know the correct scope required for a LEED V4 compliant whole building LCA
  2. Understand the data and performance requirements for baseline building as required by the LEED V4 whole building LCA credit
  3. Understand impact category selection for LEED V4 whole building LCA credit compliance
  4. Review completed LCA reports to determine if they are appropriate for credit documentation
