Double DIRTT Project Tour

This tour will introduce DIRTT's three pillars of sustainability, and how their pre-fabricated walls measure up to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) standards. This will be followed with a tour of ID+A's Green Learning Center and an office space designed with a DIRTT installation. Learn how each project is customized and unique. Links to LEED Materials & Resources credits will also be discussed.

Learn how DIRTT is sustainable.

The Progressive Project Tour starts at the offices of ID+A. DIRTTbag Laura Jamer, Director, Global Partnerships at DIRTT, will introduce DIRTT's three pillars of sustainability, and how their pre-fabricated walls measure up to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) standards. Then Laura and ID&A's Architectural Products Team will conduct a tour of ID+A's Green Learning Center.

Next stop: ID+A-furnished Gulfstream offices in glamorous Waterfront Park Place. Join the ID+A/DIRTT team, plus the local design firm, to hear about why DIRTT was chosen for the new offices of a global commercial real estate firm. Learn how each project is customized and unique. Links to LEED Materials & Resources credits will also be discussed.

Objectives

  1. Discuss how these pre-fabricated walls contribute to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
  2. Understand the elements of DIRTT products covered in various EPDs
  3. Understand how the finishes, wood, coating, glass and insulation all contribute to MR credits: Life Cycle Impact Reduction, Bldg Prod Disclosure & Optimization
  4. Discuss the DIRTT manufacturing and installation process and how it minimizes C&D waste
  5. Describe how DIRTT components contribute to the IEQ Low Emitting Materials Credit (incl. no formaldyhyde)
  6. Understand how DIRTT walls contribute to MR Interiors Life Cycle Iimpact Reduction credit: Design at least 50% of interior nonstructural walls...to be movable or demountable.
