About

A comprehensive educational program focused on understanding the changes to the materials and resources section of the LEED v4 rating system. Building product disclosure and optimization credit will be covered in detail to include Environmental Product Declarations, Health Product Declarations and leadership extraction policies credits.

Objectives

  1. List at least three life cycle impact categories that are typically covered by an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
  2. Explain why LEED v4 encourages suppliers to disclose product information, independently of how well those products measure up.
  3. Describe what must be included in a Health Product Declaration about each ingredient, including ingredients that are unnamed.
  4. Describe what form “extended producer responsibility” has to take to count towards the LEED point.
