Parksmart Advisor Training is a training covering the theory and practice of building certification and the emergence of the Parksmart Program (formerly Green Garage Certification). The training offers a deep-dive into the specific management, programmatic, technological, and structural elements of certification. The course equips participants with the knowledge to lead a facility through the Parksmart program, including how to evaluate a parking facility against the Standard.

Parksmart Advisors (formerly Green Garage Assessors) lead clients through the certification process for sustainable parking structures. The Parksmart program (formerly Green Garage Certification) is now offered under by the USGBC/GBCI alongside the suite of LEED and other sustainability rating systems. IPI is the USGBC Education Partner providing the education required to earn this valuable certificate. The course offers a deep-dive into the specific management, programmatic, technological, and structural elements of certification. The course equips you with the knowledge to lead a facility through the Parksmart program, including how to evaluate a parking facility and the process and procedures for submitting facilities for certification.

  2. Demonstrate how Parksmart certified garages lower costs, enhance value, and increase sustainability
  3. Evaluate a parking facility, including the tools, process, and procedures for submitting facilities for certification
  4. Recognize, verify, and encourage environmentally sustainable solutions in new, existing, and retrofitted parking garages
  5. Determine whether a facility is well positioned to pursue certification, and make improvements to achieve successful program recognition
