About

Learn from USGBC's LEED subject matter experts and GBCI reviewers as they explore the key concepts in the Indoor Environmental Quality credit category of the LEED for Design and Construction rating systems.

Specifically, we'll discuss in detail how to use the ASHRAE 62 calculator to comply with IEQp1, how to complete tricky forms in this category, how to create a VOC budget, how to use USGBC's space type matrix, and more. This session is aimed at LEED APs with a working knowledge of a new construction LEED rating system, looking to improve their understanding of the LEED certification process and how to maximize success.

Objectives

  1. Document appropriate location and entryway systems for indoor pollutant and chemical source control
  2. Identify commonly missed materials in low emitting materials calculations
  3. Identify when and how to provide a VOC budget
  4. Refer to IEQ Space matrix for correct applicability of credits for space types
  5. Identify the possible roles of a LEED AP for success with credits related to the Improvement of the Indoor Environment
