About

The Metro Department of General Services designs, builds, and manages many of Metro’s buildings. With over 4 million square feet and nearly 100 buildings, from fire and police stations to libraries and office buildings, our efforts to conserve energy and water, reduce waste, and promote healthy environments have a big impact.

Visit the Center of Responsible Energy (CORE) where the Department’s Sustainability Division tracks solar panel output, electric vehicle charger use, building temperatures and lighting schedules, and much more. This innovative nexus of energy management and planning avoids monetary costs, saves natural resources, and improves our customers’ experiences.
