This private, invite-only event, taking place Sept. 21 is to celebrate the next evolution of the city of Milwaukee's Better Buildings Challenge and the city's long-term commitment to reenergize and strengthen our greater community through energy use reduction. This is your opportunity to learn how the Milwaukee has streamlined programs and processes and eliminated barriers to achieving your building energy efficiency goals.
Come connect with Mayor Tom Barrett, USGBC Wisconsin, and partners throughout the business community for our kick-off event at the historic Zimmerman Architectural Studios to network with your peers, enjoy refreshments, and help fuel Milwaukee's momentum as a leading ecoCity.
The goal of the Better Buildings Challenge is to reduce energy usage in participating buildings 20 percent over 10 years. The City of Milwaukee took the pledge in 2012 with the goal of reaching a 20 percent reduction by 2020. To date, the City has reduced energy use 11 percent, in part thanks to resources such as ENERGY STAR and Focus on Energy."
