The Maintenance Facility at the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District is the new home base for workers that keep the wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system running each day. The construction of this new facility was finalized in early 2016 and achieved LEED Platinum certification status.
This tour will focus on the facility's varying and innovative sustainable design features, such as a heating and cooling system based on treated wastewater and the use of high efficiency lighting technologies.
