Learn about how green building can help promote a healthy, prosperous and sustainable community.

This May 25 LUNCHandLEADERS session will explore the connection between the work of USGBC members and their public health counterparts.

The seminar will explore how the built environment is a major social determinant of health, which are the factors that enhance, facilitate or detract from a community's overall health and individual well-being.

Speakers will address several programs that can be implemented at the local community level to promote health through building design and siting, including transportation access; external landscape design and planning; and using the WELL Building Standard in building design and renovation.
