Ends On - July 11, 2017 - 1:00pm

Join us July 11 for a Lunch & Learn about a unique LEED Certified multi-tenant building.

This event will be held live in the Twin Cities at WSB & Associates, Inc. (701 Xenia Avenue South #200, Minneapolis, MN 55416); a live webinar will be held at LHB Duluth (21 W Superior St. Suite 500, Duluth, MN 55802).

Presenter: Monte Hilleman | Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development, St. Paul Port Authority

Learn all about the redevelopment of the former home of the Saint Paul Saints, Midway Stadium (and State Fair Dump). The new Saints Business Center is a state-of-the-art, 200,000-square-foot industrial project, which was developed in a joint venture between United Properties (UP) and the Saint Paul Port Authority (SPPA).

The facility was built using Next Generation Storm Water Management design strategies and products, including research instrumentation to answer our nagging questions about best management practices (BMP) and their efficacy. This building is a first, as UP and the SPPA figured out how to make sustainable design work on a speculative industrial project.

Participants in this session will be able to:

  • Understand the pro forma impacts of a LEED Silver multi-tenant speculative office/warehouse project.
  • Explain how a state-of-the-art storm water management strategy can help achieve Path 2: 98th Percentile in the Rainwater Management category of the LEED BD+C: New Construction, v4 Rating System.
  • Understand how utilization of the Integrative Process credit of the LEED BD+C: New Construction, v4 Rating System allowed the project team to optimize the industrial project amenities including public art, to attract workers, drive urban core investment, and add Community Impact.
  • Explain how remediation of a site including the removal of diesel fuels, animal waste and methane to achieve Option 3: Brownfield Remediation of the High Priority Site Category of the LEED BD+C: New Construction, v4 Rating System.

Lunch will be provided at this event.
