Learn how Die-Tech, Inc. has worked with EMS Consulting to incorporate sustainability into all aspects of the manufacturing process. MANTEC presented their 2015 "Excellence in Sustainability" award to EMS Consulting client Die-Tech, Inc.

What did Die-Tech do to win this award? Here are a few examples from Die-Tech's award application:

"Since the founding of our company we have been concerned about sustainability — how to ensure the longevity of our business; what will give us a competitive advantage; and how to lessen any negative impact our activities have on our corner of the world.

"Since 1974: All of our metal waste is reclaimed, along with cardboard, paper, and most plastics.

"2010: First U.S. stamping manufacturer to replace all florescent tubes in the overhead fixtures of our administrative areas with energy saving LEDs.

>"2012: All T-12 florescent tubes in our production areas were replaced with more efficient T-8 tubes and the existing light fixtures were retrofitted with electronic ballasts.

"2013: First company in Pennsylvania to install the SP1000 electricity monitoring and control system. This system and software package allows us to understand and regulate our use of electricity throughout the building.

"2014: Our geothermal system goes online. This system consists of two wells, a closed system loop, and heat pumps within the building. Raising the heat/cooling base of the loop to 54 degrees reduces the energy necessary to heat or cool our building. Installing the heat pump units inside the building, not on the roof as was the old system, prevents loss of heat, and infiltration of water through the access holes in the roof (which also minimizes heat loss through the roof)."

Join us on February 9th to learn what these improvements netted Die-Tech.
