Join USGBC Tennessee for the fourth annual Paper Power design competition, which challenges Memphis-area high school students to think outside of the box and create new structures made from recycled paper products. The competition, a part of the 2016 Green Apple Day of Service, will take place Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library in Memphis.

Paper Power is intended to help foster teamwork and innovation; raise awareness about paper, how its recycled and the amount of waste produced; and teach students about design, architecture and construction techniques. All competition proceeds will go toward recycling education in Memphis.

Adults interested in participating in the competition can compete in the Paper Power Professional Division. Grab a few coworkers, and create a team to represent your company! Download the Professional Division registration form.

Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are available. For any questions, please contact Krissy Buck at (314) 954-6465 or kbuck@lrk.com.
