Our sponsor, Build SMART, brings us this Lunch and Learn Webinar on the Passive House Building Standard.

Passive House Certification is a growing standard that goes beyond energy efficiency and residential buildings by also ensuring health and durability in all building types, new or renovation, with specific standards that help those in different climate zones.

The PHIUS+ 2015 Passive Building Standard targets the sweet spot where aggressive energy and carbon reduction overlap with cost effectiveness, taking into account a full range of variables including climate zone, source energy and costs.

The standard was developed over three years by the PHIUS Technical Committee and Building Science Corporation under a U.S. DOE Building America Grant. Believe it or not but passive house certification can certify more than just homes, new and existing building projects, as well as multifamily and commercial buildings all can benefit.

This presentation will cover the PHIUS+ 2015 Passive Building Standard — North America. Attendees will learn how and why the standard was developed as well as certification statics and requirements for the standard.
