Resiliency and security are two important topics to consider in our changing energy landscape. Transforming the market in the power and energy sector is a critical mission of USGBC and GBCI. This work is happening under the PEER program, which measures and improves the power system performance of cities, campuses, and critical infrastructure. Because of the hard work of many in the USGBC Kentucky Community, the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet (EEC) is addressing both by launching a partnership with PEER (Performance Excellence in Energy Renewal). Kentucky is the first state to partner with the PEER program.

Whether you're an energy professional, utility provider, engineering and design professional, or a business and industrial leader, please join the US Green Building Council, Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), and the EEC for a free webinar to learn about the Kentucky PEER project, and how reliable and resilient power systems are an essential piece of a healthy energy grid. No cost to attend!

PEER is owned and administered by GBCI – the certifying and credentialing body of the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system for buildings.

The Kentucky PEER project is funded through a $40,000 federal grant awarded by the EEC. The webinar is the first in a series of education and outreach events to educate customers, stakeholders and policy makers.
