Join USGBC Central Plains and KC City Energy Project for Facility Engineering Association's Teena Shouse presentation on sustainable operations.

This session will show you how to assess the sustainability of your operational practices and measure your organization's sustainability level. Learn about several categories of sustainability including engagement, leadership, and areas identified in IFMA's SFP credential, such as workplace management and quality of services.

These categories go beyond the building specific attributes we are accustomed to measuring, such as energy consumption and materials and resources, and examine leadership in sustainability. Although these are crucial items to measure, we also want to look deeper in to the organization at how we engage with our customers, staff, and community and see if sustainability is truly integrated into our organization.

At the end of this program, attendees will be able to:

  • Apply current understanding of sustainable operations into a repeatable process.
  • Measure sustainable status at all levels within organization.

Fee to attend is $5. Lunch will be provided for registered attendees.
