Help nature with the water cycle and conserve potable water for drinking! Celebrate Earth Month with USGBC Alabama, Coosa Riverkeeper and our hosts at E.A.T. South at this family-friendly event where you will learn how to build your own rain barrel.

Harvesting rainwater for yard and garden use can reduce your utility bill and helps manage stormwater runoff to protect the environment.

Everyone who attends will learn about the water cycle, how to set up your own rain barrel, and other water conservation methods. We have a limited number of free rain barrels to provide for the first attendees to RSVP (limited to one per household). Anyone is welcome to participate and learn how to set up your own barrel. Please be prepared to transport the 55 gallon rain barrel on your own.

RSVP soon to ensure we have enough materials for everyone who wishes to participate.
